Not that anyone is reading this, but...

I've been working on some stuff lately. Haven't had much creative opportunity at WMU, but I'm finishing up at KVCC this semester so hopefully more projects to come. This is an ad I did for my final advertising project. I stole the Orbit letters because I couldn't find the font.

and here is a rough creative analysis:

The colors for the ad were chosen because they are a visual representation of the box of Orbit’s most popular flavor, spearmint. Also, green is perceived as healthy, rich, and natural in our culture which made it an obvious choice to use when positioning Orbit as a healthy gum. The background of the ad was given the illusion of water in order coincide with the nature-like aspect of green. The check mark makes the ad seem official, and gives it a sense of authority by inciting thoughts of a dentist with a clipboard. To attract the viewer’s eye, red was chosen for the check mark in order to make it stand out from the dull colors of the background. Red is also seen as a healthy color (i.e. Red Cross, Ambulances, etc). The ADA logo was placed near the bottom in order to add to the credibility of the advertisement. The ad was designed with a full bleed in order to be placed on the back cover of a magazine as illustrated in the media plan. The copy chosen was brief, but to the point. The all caps, serif font was used because it gives the ad a sense of seriousness, but does not make the consumer as if they are being yelled at.

And this is just a quick image I made up to be a backdrop of another project. Its going to be a cheat sheet for my marketing research class, and we were instructed to make good use of color so I am making mine pink and red. I think I will throw some hearts in there too, just to confuse the hell out of my professor.
